At the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our community. From expert docents to greeters, BRAHM volunteers create inspiring experiences for all. Below are some of the ways that you might be a part of the team here at BRAHM.  

There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer at the Museum:

Docent

BRAHM docents are ambassadors and shareknowledge as they guide visitors through the galleries.  Docents undergo rigorous training and the community of docents will help you get comfortable with everything there is to experience around the Museum. BlowingRockMuseum.org/Docent

Gallery Guides 

Gallery guides help our visitors enjoy art in the Gallery. They monitor galleries, answer questions, and remind guests to stay a safe distance from the art. 

Front Desk Greeter 

BRAHM front desk greeters welcome our visitors, handle simple transactions, and take phone calls. 

Greeter

BRAHM greeters are hosts for events. These hours vary with event schedules. Events are generally hosted on Thursday evenings and weekends.
